Your sorry eyes cut through the bone, they make it hard to leave you alone. Leave you here wearing your wounds, waving your guns at somebody new. Baby you're lost, baby you're lost. Baby you're a lost cause. There's too many people you used to know. They see you coming, they see you go. They know your secrets, and you know theirs. This town is crazy; nobody cares. Baby you're lost, baby you're lost. Baby you're a lost cause. I'm tired of fighting. I'm tired of fighting, fighting for a lost cause. There's a place where you are going, you ain't never been before. No one left to watch your back now, no one standing at your door. That's what you thought love was for. Baby you're lost, baby you're lost. Baby you're a lost cause. I'm tired of fighting. I'm tired of fighting, fighting for a lost cause. |
I think weekly entries might start to become more of a norm around here. Most of the time when I do things, there's really just not enough to be worth writing about, I feel better about summing up a few things from the week. So my telephone has been screwed up all this week until yesterday afternoon when they finally got around to fixing it. I was unable to get online at home to grab a song here or there if I wanted which kinda sucked. Still not sure exactly what went wrong but the Oakwood housing people were really cool about helping me. They also mentioned my roommate is supposed to show up this weekned at some point. I'll let you konw how he turns out. His name is Phil, I know that, but really that's it so far. I also discovered that I do in fact have a washer and dryer as I feared thus suggesting, you be the final judge, that I might just be an idiot. They are behind a pair of doors located outside my apartment accessible only from my patio. Only in Florida, what the hell... I was going to use lyrics from the new Radiohead cd cause I like it so much, but none of the lyrics really make any sense. There was a great place we all got together and ate dinner on Wednesday. They had dollar margaritas that were actually very good. I had the most excellent quesidillas and we all kinda chewed the fat. It's fun to hear how things are at different schools, and interesting to learn the differences on the kinds of things they really stress at different places. Matt and I have been doing our best to pick no more than one boring geek conversation per group gathering though. It's a little rule Carolyn is holding us to. I also just yesterday got a BlockBuster card to rent Old School to watch with Brian, Patrice, and Carolyn. I handed in my application joking that they had finally won, and now everyone in the world had a BlockBuster card. As he went through all the motions and finally handed me my card he said, "Welcome to civilization." So I stabbed him in the side of the neck with a bic pen. |
