June 25, 2003 | You cannot quit me so quickly, there's no hope in you for me. No corner you could squeeze me, but I got all the time for you, love. The space between the tears we cry, is the laughter keeps us coming back for more. The space between the wicked lies we tell, and hope to keep safe from the pain. But will I hold you again? These fickle, fuddled words confuse me like, 'Will it rain today?' Waste the hours with talking, talking. These twisted games we're playing... We're strange allies with warring hearts. What wild-eyed beast you be. The space between the wicked lies we tell, and hope to keep safe from the pain. Will I hold you again? Will I hold... Look at us spinning out in the madness of a roller coaster. You know you went off like a devil in a church in the middle of a crowded room. All we can do, my love, is hope we don't take this ship down. The space between where you're smiling high is where you'll find me if I get to go. The space between the bullets in our firefight is where I'll be hiding, waiting for you. The rain that falls, splash in your heart ran like sadness down the window into... The space between our wicked lies is where we hope to keep safe from pain. Take my hand, 'cause we're walking out of here. Oh, right out of here, love is all we need here. The space between what's wrong and right is where you'll find me hiding, waiting for you. The space between your heart and mine is the space we'll fill with time. | So yeah a few changes to the site for those of you who don't read the comments. I went through and revised all the copyright, privacy, about, and welcome stuff on the page. I also finally got around to making choosing your own scheme for the site an actual feature that can be easily used. It's in the home section with the default section stuff, customize away.
This weekend was a lot of fun. We started going to a different part of town away from the A1A called Las Olas. It seems a little less touristy and more catered to the local people. As a result there's more older people there, but there's also more places with live music, and nicer outdoor sitting areas. Brian suggested at some point we all go on a gallery crawl, alternating between having drinks at bars and looking at artwork in the galleries that also line that strip of town. It sounds like fun, but I'm not sure it's such a great financial idea as "not breaking things" would certainly become more of a task.
There was an excellent band at a place called Mangos over in Las Olas who did an excellent job and even varied up their set quite a bit from Friday to Saturday. They got countless songs stuck in my head if that is any form of viable measurement. They even do a better job of making mixed drinks there as well, and understand that a white russian doesn't mean vanilla stoli's and milk (oh dear god why...)
Lately work has been pretty busy as a couple of my projects are kinda culminating at the same time here, and what I've made I'm starting to use to get data to people who get to make fun decisions with it. There's nothing quite like performing tests for a couple hours or so, mucking around with it for another hour in matlab and finally meeting with some people for an hour over a powerpoint file filled with all manners of pretty graphs and descriptions.
yup, it sure beats pulling cables as something to do for an afternoon.
I've also begun running (part of the reason I made the exercise poll) three days a week. Nothing real strenuous as I try to do it after work when I can tend to be somewhat tired. Just a couple miles at a reasonable pace. I'm hoping this will keep me from being so damn tired all the time as I was told it should. When you're getting up at 7am every morning there's really only so far coffee is going to help you. I'd like to have a backup plan :D
