Cold Brains, unmoved, untouched, unglued, alone at last. No thoughts, no mind to rot behind a trail of disasters. A final curse, abandoned hearse, we ride disowned, corroded to the bone. The fields of green are bent. Obscene, I lay upon the gravel. A worm of hope, a hangman's rope, pulls me one way or the other. A final curse, abandoned hearse, we write this song, corroded to the bone. A bird of song is heard no longer in the evacuated heavens. The drain is drawn, and drained and gone, and on and on, it doesn't matter. A final the curse, abandoned hearse, we rock the salt, corroded to the bone.
So hey Ryan, how did it feel to turn 21?

I don't remember.

This weekend was really cool. Saturday was my roommate's birthday and Sunday was mine. We had a great time at Jalapenos where they have enormous margaritas and excellent Mahi Mahi. Saturday night we started out in Las Olas going to a few different clubs and Enjoying some of the bands that were playing and chewing the fat. We made our way (myself somewhat haphazardly) to riverfront for a change of scenery. We hung out there a little longer, but they were really big about carding to get in and we had a youngin' or two with us so we didn't stay there for too long. I remember comically running down the up escalator to avoid shots being purchased for me (to no avail) I managed to keep myself in one piece but needless to say Sunday morning was a long one.

Sunday afternoon we went to South Beach which was great, we had lunch and hung out on the beach, swam, attempted to throw each other as far as possible, buried Hailey, the usual beach-going activities. Cruising around in that area was cool, and I think we may try to make our way back there before we all take off at the end. Saw a lot of really beautiful cars around that area.

So joel has revamped his site a little, added some color and whatnot. I'm even a pal now, I can't tell you how delighted that makes me. His new style kinda reminds me of using an old-school mac ... you know ... back when they sucked.

My exercise setup has gone through a little restructuring since it's inception. I now run a 2k and walk a 400 to cool down every day after work. I couldn't do the m-w-f thing, it just wasn't working. I always felt like I wanted to die at the end of my runs when I hadn't done it in a couple days

As for the last couple days, they were spent at a leaderSHAPE MOTOvational conference. If that name doesn't start setting off little bells and whistles that scream "run away" in your head then maybe you should consider getting it looked at. The conference was alright I suppose. I did feel it could have been condensed into one day as most of the good points they had were among many pounded into your head over and over again in a kind of semantic do-si-do if you will. The overall goals of the conference were fair enough despite it's short-comings, but with one exception I'd like to punctuate.

They had this personality test (reminding me of those "which kind of car are you?" or "which kind of drink are you?" aim profile quiz things) that we took in advance of coming to the conference, and whose results I think they had altogether too much faith in. Worse still were the attendees who ate it up saying things like, "Well, as an 'I' I have to be careful to present things to an 'S' in a way that won't make them... well, I don't want to say sugar-coat it... but tell them in a way that won't make them feel offended or overly pressured."

Well I hate to upset your best laid plans Steinbeck, but speaking as an 'S', your condescension offends me, and I do kinda feel pressured to punch you in the face, but maybe that's just my 'D' talking.

The highlight was definitely our tea-, I mean cluster's utter domination of the balloon castle building competition. Our tower was not only the tallest structure, but was also a marvel of engineering and modern art all rolled into one. I'll have to get Ed to send me the pictures he took of this thing, it was most definitely a sight to behold.
