| Knowing the truth is not for the purpose of gaining "props" from other people, it's for the sake in itself. And helping others has nothing to do with it. The idea that we are fated is not new, nor is it Existential. But I have yet to find anything really against it. To the smartasses below: convolusion isn't a word and the closest word "convolution" has no bearing on your statement. I re-read the bit about the cave paintings and still have no idea what your problem with it is. To the fellow below who considers this a "lame arguement," I pride myself in being cohesive and communicable rather than tossing out incredibly obscure vocabulary. Also, there's nothing so bad about being meaningless. It just means we're free, and responsible for ourselves. Every day we wake up and choose to continue our lives. "You better get busy livin', or get busy dyin'," as they say in Shawshank. | I hate to break it to you but these long paragraphs involved a lot more than just joel and I (ryan.) I only made two posts "Really, we are all just a bunch of..." and "As far as aesthetic truths go, I ask this..." and the responses people seem to have made to those, most notably "your description of life and existence as..." demostrates a complete and utter lack of comprehension of what I was trying to say. So I give up on this argument, I'm probably not only not going to convince anyone of anything, but I'm also probably not even going to get an idea through.
