| It will be completely worthless for gauging that, since at best it caused a hiccup in some industries. America will not grind to a halt if all the illegal immigrants are shipped home. Some things will go up in price as the labor costs in those industries will go up, but other than that we will be fine. It isn't that Americans refuse to do these jobs, it's that Americans refuse to do these jobs at those wages, if there is not a cheaper alternative availiable the industries hiring illegal workers will just have to pay more for the legal ones.
