The reason third parties don't have a chance to win is because people are too caught up in all the political bullshit in the media. They watch too much of their favorite news channel and read too much of their favorite columnist which only serve to get the viewers/readers more riled up against their candidate's opponant. Taking a step back for a moment and being objective is passe. 10/29/2004-5:18pm
McCain in 08 I would definately go for. I also wish he was nominated 4 years ago. Wouldn't mind Fineman, Guliani (sp?), or Stewart (yes I do refer to John Stewart) as his running partner. And voting third party takes a vote away from both the "two big dogs." So it hurts both of them and helps the third party. And both the Republcrat parties are the least preferred because no matter who wins, we will still get fucked in the ass. 10/29/2004-11:53am
I am in no way a staunch supporter of either Bush or Kerry, and I don't care for Nader either. Maybe I'm still grumpy that McCain didn't get the nomination 4 years ago. Yep, that's probably it. 10/29/2004-9:39am
in terms of "competing with the big dogs" or making your third party better... this is even worse. it makes it far more likely that a third party will not only throw elections in favor of your least preffered party this year, but also sets it up to have far more success doing it in the future. and because of this, i heavily encourage you continue to support the Libertarian party 10/29/2004-5:52am
we need more instant runoff voting up in this hizzy index [instantrunoff.com] and until then yes voting third party is stupid 10/29/2004-5:50am
If you want to actually support a third party you should start by donating money, and assisting in the early campaigning in your state, so that they can actually compete with the two big dogs. 10/29/2004-5:17am
Actually voting third party does accomplish things. One, it will make me feel proud of my vote. I also won't be voting for the lesser of two huge evils. My vote will follow more closely to what I believe than it would otherwise. That's quite a bit of accomplishment. Most Americans are just too lazy and apathetic to care about it. Most Americans are also not Republican or Democrat, they lie more closely within a third party. And if they all just voted the same way that they feel, we would be getting better candidates to run this nation and more people would care about the vote. 10/28/2004-3:24pm
i am so glad that someone else realizes that voting third-party is a complete waste of time. Idealism and American politics just don't mix. 10/28/2004-6:24am
I'm voting conservative all across the board, just to balance out all the dirty hippies and trendy liberals that surround me - crisby 10/27/2004-8:49pm
because that will accomplish..... NOTHING 10/27/2004-3:54pm
Heh fuck both the Republicrats this year. I am voting third party, specifically Michael Badnarik (Libertarian) 10/27/2004-1:57pm
you should put up a poll asking who people are voting for next week. Your choices can be: "Bush/Kerry/Screw It", oh wait, do you really care? :P 10/27/2004-6:09am
well, it's pretty much impossible to be in a bad mood now... dtss-10-21-04.jpg [chaz720.net] 10/21/2004-1:29pm
