I need a camera to my eye, to my eye. Reminding which lies I have been hiding, which echoes belong. I've counted out days to see how far I've driven in the dark, with echoes in my heart. Phone my family, tell them I'm lost on the sidewalk. And, no, it's not OK. I smashed a camera, I wanna know why, to my eye. Deciding which lies i have been hiding, which echoes belong. I'm counting on a heart I know by heart to walk me through this war, memories distort. Phone my family, tell them I'm lost on the sidewalk. And, no, it's not OK. I've counted out, and no one knows how far I've driven in the dark with echoes in my heart. Phone my family, tell them I'm lost, "Yeah, I'm lost." And, no, it's not OK.
I've found several more good food places... I haven't had In-N-Out or Jack in the Box in over a week, and believe me, that's quite an accomplishment.

I went up to USC the other day to register for classes, get a student ID and whatnot. I took some time and wandered around. The streets don't cut through campus like I'm used to so there aren't any cars driving around. Considering it's summer the place was pretty busy. There were a number of tour groups with incoming freshmen and parents thereof walking around. I tagged along on one for a little while but it was pretty dry so I just went about my business. Other than the registration office employing computers so slow they must have been selected maliciously, it seems like a pretty nice place.

I'm considering going to Pittsburgh to visit Sam over Labor Day weekend, but the only fares that don't completely screw over classes and work are really expensive. I'm thinking I might just swing by some other weekend for half as much in a month or so... we'll see.

Joel invited me to a party at his brother's place last Saturday. He mentioned a friend of his and a couple of her friends were going to be in town, and that after I got off work I should come by. Unfortunately, he decided not to actually go... And neither did his brother... Nor the friends of his from out of town... None of this was brought to my attention, of course, until I was in Hollywood and had found parking and whatnot. Luckily there actually was a party there in honor of one of his neighbor's birthdays. Not to let the drive and rock-star parking go to waste, I stuck around, ended up meeting some interesting people, and had a pretty good time.

I'm sacrificing this weekend to the work gods to open up a long weekend for when Leandra and Eric are here. There's a bit of a lull right now so covering the weekend isn't really necessary, but there's a lot of little things it wouldn't hurt to get out of the way, I figure I'll focus on those.

And, you know... writing journal entries...
